DESCRIPTION:NEW BRAUNFELS    The Comal County Elections Office will hold an open house for anyone wanting to test the county's new voting machines before early voting begins next month.\n\n \n\nThe open house will be Friday\, Sept. 11\, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Elections Office is on the first floor of the Landa Building\, 178 E. Mill Street\, Suite 101.\n\n \n\nThe new eSlate machines from Hart InterCivic will be in place when early voting starts Oct. 19. They replace voting equipment the county had used since 2004.\n\n \n\n"Anyone who wants to get comfortable with the new machines before they go live in October is welcome to come to our office and spend some time testing them\," said Elections Coordinator Cynthia Jaqua (pronounced JAY-quay).
