Relates To: Administration, Faculty, Parents, Students and Community

Position Description: Our mission at Bracken Christian School is to disciple students so that they seek Jesus, embrace truth, and radically transform their community for His Glory.

The Communications and Brand Coordinator is expected to uphold the vision, mission and values of Bracken Christian School, while promoting and implementing communications outlets and organizational brand development in order to achieve long term success. 




  • Minimum: Has a bachelor’s degree in communications/marketing from an accredited college or university or the equivalent


  • Preferred: Three years experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential responsibilities and duties 

  • Strong Christian faith and personal testimony

  • Prior Christian school experience

  • Proven ability to embrace the responsibility for being a spiritual role model for students    


  • Experienced in all aspects of social media, communications and branding

  • Has strong creative, strategic, organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in communicating ideas and practices to relevant staff members

  • Has the ability to work independently and responsibly while simultaneously managing numerous projects

  • Experienced overseeing the design and production of print and publications

  • Proficient in social media content creation and management 

  • Proficient in G-Suites

Major Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Spearhead on campus events throughout the year including but not limited to Warrior Rollout, HoCo, Great Pumpkin Chase, Bracken Dances, Father/Daughter and Mother/Son Events


  • Coordinate the proper and consistent application of Bracken’s identity, such as logo, tagline, fonts, colors in all areas and departments for use on buildings, signs, letterheads and social media 

  • Spearhead the brand development of print materials, banners, T-shirts/spirit wear  from original concept and editorial direction through to design and production fulfillment 

  • Coordinate video productions and social media posts that align with the school’s mission, vision and values

  • Conduct relevant market research, such as focus groups and surveys, in order to measure the success of the school’s mission, vision and values

  • Manage website content to ensure brand continuity while collaborating with Interactive Schools to ensure a dynamic school website

  • Collaborate with campus departments to ensure that all improvement projects align with school branding

  • Coordinate campus photography for events and styled shoots

  • Lead special projects as assigned by administration


  • Provide budget oversight for communications and brand development programs in conjunction with CFO

  • Work with COO and CFO on all assigned projects and their related budgets

Campus and Community Relations

  • Ensure that the articulation of Bracken Christian School is consistent throughout the organization and in community engagement publications. 

  • Build digital relationships in order to connect with stakeholders and develop organizational brand 

Professional Learning

  • Participate in growth and development through active attendance in professional conferences and associations

  • Distribute ideas and information from other professionals to staff as applicable

Working Conditions: 

  • Frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending; Occasional: Lifting and carrying 25-30 lbs.
