Comal County Sheriff launches Reserve Deputy School Resource Officer Program

Are you an Honorably Retired Texas Peace Officer?

Are you ready to answer the call again and continue your oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States and Texas?

If so, the Comal County Sheriff's Office is looking for you...

"We are Blessed to live, work and serve in a County that supports law enforcement and its first responders," said Comal County Sheriff Mark Reynolds. "In light of the recent tragedy in Uvalde, we continue to look for new ways to protect our children and schools."

The Comal County Sheriff's Office and Comal ISD have a long-forged working partnership. Together we continue the work to enhance the safety of the kids and campuses. The Sheriff's Office is now working on a new program to place additional law enforcement officers in the schools. The goal of the program is to offer contract-paid Reserve Law Enforcement Officers.
Eligible persons must have a valid (TCOLE) Texas Peace Officer License or be an Honorably Retired Texas Peace Officer, in good standing, pass a written test, physical test and background check.

Interested qualified individuals should contact Lt. Mark Long, Comal County Sheriff's Office at (830)620-3400 ext. 2007.
