About Us

The Crisis Center of Comal County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, and other crises. Since 1986, we have served as a source of safety, hope, and healing for survivors throughout Comal County and the surrounding Hill Country.

Our mission is to embrace survivors of crisis and trauma and empower them to positively change the trajectory of their lives. We provide comprehensive, trauma-informed services at no cost to clients, including a 24/7 crisis hotline, emergency shelter, counseling, case management, legal advocacy, support groups, and prevention education.

We believe every individual deserves safety, dignity, and the opportunity to build a brighter future. Through compassionate support, community partnerships, volunteer engagement, and donor generosity, we help survivors find stability, healing, and hope.

The Crisis Center also operates the Comal Thrift Shoppe, where donated goods are transformed into funding for vital programs and services. Every purchase, donation, volunteer hour, and act of support helps strengthen our ability to serve those in need throughout our community.

Together, we are working to create a community free from violence, where survivors are empowered to heal, thrive, and positively change the trajectory of their lives.
