What Is Household Hazardous Waste (HHW)?

HHW is a chemical product that has any one or a combination of these properties:

Toxic: herbicide, pesticide, fungicide
Reactive: pool chlorine, drain cleaner, hydrogen peroxide
Ignitable: gasoline, lighter fluid, paint thinner, stains
Corrosive: muriatic acid, laundry bleach, oven cleaner

Commercial or business waste is NOT Household Hazardous Waste.
