Racing Racism

The League of Women Voters of the Comal Area (LWV-CA) will host “Racing Racism”, a presentation by the President of the New Braunfels MLK Association, Inc. (NBMLK), Bishop Michael Franklin online. Bishop Franklin describes the program as dealing with “the perpetual struggle of our nation’s attempt to out run racism's dark past in our current day.” LWV-CA President Roxanna Deane adds , “events of the last few months here in Comal County have shown that not only can we not outrun the history of racism but we must accept that every corner of America is touched by the effects.  The League is grateful to have Bishop Franklin explore this topic with us.” The public is invited to join the Dec. 16 Zoom meeting (ID: 899 8656 3219 password: 270440) or watch a live-stream on Facebook. The meeting will be recorded for later viewing on the LWVCA YouTube channel @LWVComal.
