Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is back—and it’s more spirited, meaningful, and entertaining than ever.

This high-energy annual fundraiser invites men to step into high heels and take the stage to strut, race, and perform—all to raise awareness and support for domestic violence and sexual assault prevention. Hosted at Krause’s Café, the evening blends purpose with fun through runway walks, costume contests, and a short high-heeled footrace (not a full mile, but packed with meaning). Participants often go all out with themed outfits and choreographed routines. Past performances have included everything from a Napoleon Dynamite dance to a cowboy in chaps grooving to Shania Twain, and even a tribute to Flashdance.

But beyond the laughs and applause, this event plays a vital role in supporting the Crisis Center of Comal County, which provides emergency shelter, advocacy, counseling, and education for survivors. Walkers also compete to “friend-raise” the most funds, adding a friendly competitive spirit to a powerful cause.
