Description
Come listen to John Blaha, a decorated; former NASA astronaut and retired USAF, Colonel; who will give us a great overview of the history of human space program. Check out his bio to read about John's great career.
Registration required. Refreshments served. All adults and teens 13+ are invited.
Bio: Astronaut John Blaha held many leadership positions in a storied 15 year Air Force career, including 361 combat missions. He was selected as a NASA Astronaut in 1980 and went on to fly 161 days in space on 5 missions - 2 as a Commander, 2 as a pilot, and one as a scientist on a 128 day mission on a Russian space station. John is the recipient of many international awards, including having a planet named after him – Planet Blaha. In 2008 he was selected into the highly competitive Astronaut Hall of Fame. John and his wife Brenda have 3 children, 5 grandchildren, and a great granddaughter.
