Description
Come hear Amy Clark present on a basic overview of streams and rivers, effects of land-use changes, river flooding, urbanization and flooding, and the nature and extent of flood hazards. Registration is required for adults and teens 13+.
About the presenter: Amy Clark is a San Antonio native and Hill Country resident for the past seven years. She is a wife of fellow geologist Allan and a mother of six daughters. Amy has a BS and MS degrees in Geology from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), specializing in environmental geology focusing on water issues. Is licensed by the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists (#2700). She worked for the US Geological Survey in San Antonio for 11 years and have taught at Palo Alto College in San Antonio and most recently at UTSA for eleven years. Amy has also taught the geology portion of the Master Naturalist training for the Alamo Area Master Naturalist program. Currently on sabbatical to spend time with family and volunteer at library.
