COME OUT AND MEET THE NEW SUPERINTENDENT
AT GUADALUPE RIVER STATE PARK

Speaker: Brandon Lopes-Baca
Superintendent at Guadalupe River State Park
Please join me in congratulating and welcoming Brandon Lopes-Baca as the new Superintendent of Guadalupe River State Park and Honey Creek State Natural Area. Brandon was selected from a very competitive applicant pool and will bring a diverse background and experience level to Guadalupe River SP. Brandon was hired into the agency as the Operations Trainee at Ray Roberts Lake State Park Complex, Johnson Branch Unit where he was exposed to every facet of park operations at a very busy park. Brandon’s leadership skills afforded him the opportunity to be named the interim Superintendent at Caddo Lake SP where he was eventually promoted to that role in 2018. Brandon came to TPWD after 11 + years of operational, logistics and supply chain management experience as an Officer in the United States Army, The Home Depot, and in the Oil/Gas energy industry with Koch Industries. He was raised in Texas, but is well traveled due to his, and his families, ties to the military. He graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in Communication and Military Science, and enjoys a multitude of hobbies which range from the outdoors and sports all the way to entertainment. He has two dogs, named Jack and Coal. Brandon brings a wealth of life experiences to the table and has successfully demonstrated that he adds valuable servant leadership and support for the park team and operations. Brandon is eager and excited to be a part of the Guadalupe River State Park/Honey Creek SNA team and be a beacon for the agency and State Parks mission.
We would like to thank Ben Fleury and the entire management team for keeping the park running smoothly during this interim period. It exemplifies the level of leadership and passion this team has.
Welcome to the Region 3 Leadership Team Brandon!
