FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, FEBRUARY 2, 2017:
NEW BRAUNFELS — The next DIY Saturday hosted by the Comal County office of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will be Feb. 11, focusing on how to ferment sauerkraut and other foods.
The class will be 9-11 a.m. at the county’s Extension Office, 325 Resource Drive, New Braunfels. The cost is $15.
“Many people don’t realize how easy it is to ferment their food,” said Connie Sheppard, Comal County extension agent for family and consumer sciences. “We’re excited to welcome our county IT director, Mike Lee, who is an avid fermenter, to give us some tips for making great kraut.”
Attendees should register by calling 830-620-3440. Each class requires a minimum class size, so attendees are encouraged to call ahead to make sure it still will be held.
