Description
Come meet Jenny Perez, Education Coordinator from the American Botanical Council in Austin, with a Permaculture Design Course (PDC) background as she presents about permaculture. She also teaches Permaculture for Herbalists to students at the Wildflower School of Botanical Medicine in Austin/Cedar Creek.
Build a better world for yourself by learning how to set up a garden using permaculture principles and get some fun ideas for themed garden designs. Learn about the different healing gardens and herb gardens that you can plant which follow the principles of permaculture.
We also will introduce the basics of Hygge, a feeling of completeness or coziness that is based in Danish culture. Enjoy a craft that will bring the feeling of Hygge to you and also enjoy some refreshments.
Many of our programs this summer will reflect principles of Permaculture, Hygge or both. Come learn the meaning of the ideas that will shape our programs throughout the Adult Summer Reading Program.
Please register for a supply and refreshment count.
This event is made possible by a grant from the Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation.
*You do not have to be involved in our Summer Reading Program to attend this event!
