Description
A play about a small American town that is anywhere and everywhere,
Middletown is an emotional reflection on the events in life that make us human. As a friendship
develops, the lives of the residents intertwine and the relationships reflect the joys and sorrows of
validating the meaning of their existence.
In a 2013 interview with Christopher Wallenberg in the Boston Glove, author Will Eno says,
“It’s hard to be a human being. It’s complicated — and complicated in ways we’ll probably
never fully be able to see. I wrote this play and mean it to be a kind of testament to the difficulty
of consciousness, or a picture of the complications of the simplest life.” Middletown was written
by Will Eno and Presented by Samuel French, Inc., a Concord Theatricals Company.
Middletown is being performed by Smithson Valley High School November 7th, 8th and 9th at
7:00pm in the SVHS Auditorium at 14001 TX-46 W, Spring Branch, TX 78070. Tickets are $8
each at the door.
