Description
But first, Brunch! Come join us as we explore the connection between professional development and communication, and how you can gain new skills through the Toastmasters workshop, Speechcraft.
Speechcraft is free, open to the public, and the quickest means by which people can jump right into the process of improving
their speaking skills. The sessions cover several topics that play a part in good public speaking.
Participants learn to:
- Evaluate present speaking ability
- Organize and give speeches
- Give impromptu talks
- Control voice, vocabulary, and gestures
- Give constructive feedback and more
Speechcraft allows experienced Toastmasters to present the fundamentals of public speaking to non-members in an atmosphere of a Toastmasters club meeting. A local Toastmasters club serves as sponsor and provides a coordinator to present the program. Meetings generally follow a format similar to that of a Toastmasters club meeting, including an announced agenda, practice in parliamentary procedure, and the selection of presiding officers. A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to the participants of the course.
