Position Description: Our mission at Bracken Christian School is to partner with Christian families through the leadership and guidance of the Holy Spirit to provide an excellent education within the context of a biblical worldview, equipping students to impact their communities for Christ.                                                                                                                                                                                                            

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic 6th Grade Math Teacher to join our hybrid model - STREAM at Bracken Christian School. This role is ideal for a dynamic educator who is passionate about mathematics and committed to fostering both academic excellence and spiritual growth in middle school students.

You will be teaching 1 class period, 6th grade math, 2 days a week (M/W). This is a hybrid class; lessons are prepared for on campus instruction (M/W) and home day independent work (T/TH/F).


Qualifications:

Education/Certification: 

  • Has a bachelor’s degree in education or mathematics or equivalent from an accredited college or university. 
  • Holds (or be eligible to hold) a teaching certificate in mathematics.

Experience: 

  • Proven experience working as an upper/middle school teacher.
  • Strong Christian faith and personal testimony.
  • Prior Christian school experience.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with parents and colleagues
     

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate, and Christ-centered math instruction during on-campus class days (Mondays and Wednesdays).
  • Develop meaningful learning goals and instructional strategies that actively engage students in meaningful learning experiences.
  • Partner with families to provide a consistent and robust learning experience that extends into home-based learning days (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays).
  • Create and distribute clear, structured materials and assignments to support independent learning at home.
  • Build positive relationships with students, encouraging both academic confidence and personal growth.
  • Organize and manage the classroom to create a focused, respectful, and supportive learning environment.
  • Ensure timely completion of grading, communication, and other instructional responsibilities.
  • Align instruction with curriculum standards and school values while maintaining flexibility for individual learning needs.
