Hill Country Montessori School serves children 18 months through 8th grade. Our beautiful campus on the outskirts of Boerne, Texas is the perfect environment for children to grow, learn, and experience the joy of childhood in a natural setting.

The Position: The After School Caregiver supports the Hill Country Montessori School community by providing a safe and nurturing experience/environment to those students who remain on campus after the school day ends.  The After School Caregiver initiates and supervises indoor and outdoor activities in keeping with the Montessori philosophy, prepares afternoon snack for the students, and actively engages with the children while maintaining the role of supervisor, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in the program.  Finally, the After School Caregiver is responsible for keeping a clean and orderly environment through care and maintenance of classroom materials and space both before arrival and after departure of the children

It is the responsibility of all staff at HCMS is to work in cooperation with other Staff, Parents, Head of School and Board Members to create and sustain a positive school environment, ensuring student, parent and staff relationships characterized by mutual respect and goodwill. The Caregiver is expected to fulfill the functions of this position in alignment with Montessori philosophy, HCMS mission statement, HCMS Employee Policy Manual, Parent Policy Handbook and other written policies/procedures.

SchedulePosition to begin with the opening of school in August 2026. Typical hours are 1:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, with the potential for additional hours during the school day, if additional staffing is needed in the classrooms.
