At Senior Start LLC, we help older adults move with confidence, live independently, and stay strong. Our team delivers personalized, science-backed fitness and fall-prevention training in clients' homes and senior living communities across San Antonio.
We were founded by Jonathan Leeper, a Senior Fitness Trainer with backgrounds as an EMT, Combat Medic, and LVN. Safety isn't just a policy here, it's the foundation of everything we do.
We're growing, and we're looking for compassionate, dependable professionals who want to do meaningful work on their own schedule.
What You'll Do
As a Fall Prevention Specialist, you'll lead one-on-one and small-group fitness sessions with senior clients. Every session you deliver directly improves someone's strength, balance, and quality of life.
- Conduct individualized fitness assessments
- Build customized programs focused on strength, balance, mobility, and fall prevention
- Travel to client homes and senior living facilities across the San Antonio area
- Document each session in our platform (we'll train you on this) Communicate professionally with clients, families, and facility staff
- Complete Senior Start's Fall Prevention Certification training
What We're Looking For
- Current Senior Fitness Training certification (ACE, NASM, ISSA, or equivalent)
- CPR/AED certification, or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Experience working with older adults or in a fitness/rehabilitation setting
- Reliable transportation for local travel
- Patience, empathy, and genuine care for the people you serve
- Strong communication and a professional, encouraging presence

A Note on the Role
This is a 1099 independent contractor position. You're responsible for your own taxes and insurance, and you control your schedule. We provide the clients, the training, the brand, and the platform. You bring the expertise and the heart.
