Shift Lead & Guest Services Team Members

$10–$15/hr based on experience, plus tips · Shift Lead (part-time to full-time) and part-time Guest Services roles · Tuesday–Sunday availability, weekends required

The Putting Mill is a local, family-owned and family-run putting course, bar and pickleball venue in Spring Branch, and a Selkirk-sponsored pickleball facility. We’re growing our team and looking for friendly, dependable, self-motivated people to welcome guests, serve drinks and concessions, and keep our course, courts and clubhouse in top shape.

What you’ll do

• Shift Lead: once trained, open and close the venue on your own, including the register, cash count and lock-up, and help train newer team members.
• Welcome guests and check them in for mini golf and pickleball, and handle questions and issues with a smile.
• Serve beer, wine and mixed drinks responsibly, plus concessions and ice cream.
• Keep the course and grounds looking great: gas-powered blower, mulching, and cleaning the greens and pickleball courts.
• Collect and take out trash, and keep the clubhouse and restrooms clean.

What you need

• 18 or older.
• A current Texas TABC seller-server certificate, or one completed before your first shift.
• A Texas food handler card, or willingness to get one soon after you start.
• Strong people skills: warm, upbeat and confident with guests of all ages.
• Reliable and trustworthy with cash and keys.
• Able to work outdoors in Texas weather, stand and walk for a full shift, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Available Tuesday through Sunday, including weekends and some holidays.

Preferred

• Experience serving and interacting with customers. Shift lead or key-holder experience is a plus.
• Love pickleball? Even better. Pickleball players may spend some time playing with guests to build relationships and promote lessons. It’s not required, but it’s a real perk for someone who loves the game. Teaching or coaching experience is a strong plus. As a Selkirk-sponsored facility, we offer Selkirk training and perks, and the right person can teach lessons and clinics.
• Self-motivated, with an interest in someday owning or running your own business. You’ll work directly with the owners of a small, local, family-run business and see how it runs day to day.
