Bus Driver

Salary: $12/hr. - 20-22 hours/week

Job Description:

The Bulverde Spring Branch Activity Center is seeking a reliable and experienced Bus Driver to join our transportation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their destinations on a set schedule, maintaining a clean and well-functioning vehicle, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a bus or shuttle on designated routes and schedules.
• Adhere to traffic laws and company policies to ensure passenger safety.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus, ensuring it is clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus.
• Handle emergencies, such as accidents or mechanical breakdowns, in a calm and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records of passenger numbers, mileage, and any incidents.
• Communicate effectively with BSBAC staff.
• Provide excellent customer service and address passenger inquiries or concerns.
• Ensure that all passengers have a safe and comfortable ride.

Qualifications:

• Valid Texas Drivers License (CDL not required - 12 passenger shuttle)
• Clean driving record with no recent accidents or traffic violations.
• Previous experience as a Bus Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations.
• Familiarity with GPS systems and local area routes.
• Ability to pass a background check.
