Pool Technician

We are looking to hire a trustworthy and reliable pool service technician to service and maintain our customers' swimming pools.  As a swimming pool technician, you would make sure that the water is clean and safe. You will travel to client’s homes and interact with clients in a friendly and professional manner and service and maintain swimming pools, spas and hot tubs.  You will maintain proper chemical levels and ensure pool, spas and hot tubs are in proper working condition. 

Swimming Pool Technician Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Check the chemistry of the pool and prepare chemicals to be added to the water.
  • Check the pools for dirt and debris on a weekly basis and use specialized equipment to extract both.
  • Backwash the pool water filters as needed.
  • Perform vacuuming as needed with authorized equipment.
  • Empty pool baskets and pump filter baskets.
  • Check pool filtration motors and equipment on a weekly basis.
  • Store pool equipment and tools in a proper manner.
  • Clean hot tubs and add chemicals as necessary.
  • Perform minor fixture adjustments and repairs as needed around the pool.
  • Blow leaves away from the immediate area around pool.
  • Maintain pool water levels by checking gauges or tell pool owner to add water.
  • Check suction lines to make sure there isn’t blockage.  Clear if needed.
  • Report extensive repair work to be performed in the pool or around it.
  • Ensure extensive repair work is completed by the proper maintenance person.
  • Maintain manual or automated records of work performed and chemical levels and additions.
  • Operate company supplied vehicles to transport various types of materials and equipment to pool sites.
  • Maintain a good driving record in accordance with insurance requirements. 

Prerequisites: 

MUST be reliable!

Must be efficient, organized, personable, poised and well groomed.

Must be able to work in hot, cold or rainy weather conditions.

Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

Prefer experience, but not required, in pool, spa and fountain maintenance including chemical use, chemical level testing, pump, equipment maintenance and all other related items.?  

Education: 

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Basic?Computer?skills.  

Experience: 

Prefer, but not required, experience in similar role.

Prefer previous customer service experience.

Will be thoroughly trained on the job.
