GLORIA DEO ACADEMY ANNOUNCES CONTRACT TO PURCHASE LIVING ROCK ACADEMY CAMPUS IN BULVERDE
Acquisition of 24-acre property marks significant milestone for growing classical Christian school
BULVERDE, Texas — [June 25, 2026] — Gloria Deo Academy (GDA), a private classical Christian school serving students PreK through 12th grade in Bulverde, Texas, announced today it has entered into a contract to purchase the Living Rock Academy campus at 2500 Bulverde Road. The $1.5 million acquisition is expected to close on June 30, 2026.
The 24.73-acre property includes a full gymnasium, classroom building, practice fields, two locker rooms, a weight room, and a concession stand, facilities that will significantly expand GDA's capacity to serve its growing student body and the broader Bulverde community."We are grateful for the legacy Living Rock Academy built here and do not take lightly the responsibility of stewarding this property well,” said Joe Fesler, Head of School for Gloria Deo Academy. “Our hope is for 2500 Bulverde Road to become a place that allows GDA to thrive and the impact of a thriving school will be a blessing to the broader community.”
What the Acquisition Means for GDA
Gloria Deo Academy currently serves 263 students across its PreK–12th grade program on its existing campus. The addition of the Living Rock Academy property provides for a large-assembly and athletic facility, while its current location at 1100 Bulverde Road remains focused on discipleship through academics.
The expanded footprint will create space for larger community gatherings, school-wide events, and co-curricular programming, allowing GDA to serve not only its current families but the wider Bulverde community in new and meaningful ways.
The acquisition addresses two of the school's most pressing practical needs: large gathering spaces and athletic facilities. GDA student athletes currently practice and compete in rented facilities, a cost and logistical burden that the new campus will eliminate.
What the Acquisition Means for Bulverde
Gloria Deo Academy has been part of the Bulverde community since 2012, growing from a small school of 57 students to a thriving PreK–12 institution that draws families from across the area. The acquisition of the Living Rock Academy campus represents a deepening of that commitment, a signal that GDA intends to grow with Bulverde and to be a lasting presence in the community for generations.
The property at 2500 Bulverde Road has served the Christian education community in Bulverde for years, and GDA is committed to honoring that legacy as it stewards the campus into its next chapter.
