Local Texas Animal Rescue Saving Lives: One Paw At a Time
Rescue Rehab Ranch is a 501C dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of homeless pets in our Texas Community.
Cody’s Story:
On April 2025, Donald Jackson had a stroke in the Guadalupe RV park.
He had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital, and had to spend over three months in the ICU since he medical complications from diabetes.
He was put on blood thinners and then was moved to rehab facility to get assistance with walking and speech. Donald had a nine year old basset hound that needed to be fostered until Don was back on his fee again.
For three months, rescue rehab took possession of Cody and cared to his every need.
On December 31, 2025, Don fell and broke his hip.
The same fostering program went into action when he had surgery and when he went to rehab for a month.
We still have volunteers checking in on Don and Cody. Offering companionship and walks in the park. It takes a village.
We at Rescue Rehab Ranch, also rescue animals in dangerous situations like the one Lainey was forced to endure.
Lainey’s Story:
In July of 2025, my partner in the 501C, Norman, was living in the Sunset RV Park in Woodville Texas.
While he was walking his rescued dogs, he came upon a man pointing a gun at a dog.
He asked the man what he intended to do with the gun.
The man replied he intended to shoot the dog.
Other members of the RV park called the authorities.
Norman got into a physical altercation with the man and removed the gun from his possession.
Police arrested the man, who was out on parole. The possession of a gun would be a parole violation.
Norman adopted Lainey and she is now living with him and the rest of his rescued pack.
Her special features, i.e. her glowing alien eyes makes her a perfect “spokes puppy” for the organisation.
