Legacy Foundations Academy
Legacy Foundations Academy, a new private elementary microschool serving the Bulverde, Spring Branch, and surrounding North San Antonio areas, will open in Fall 2026.
Founded by Melissa Gonzalez, a certified elementary teacher with over fifteen years of classroom experience, the school is designed to provide a calm, structured learning environment for students in Grades 1 through 3.
The school operates four days per week in a small, in-person setting designed to support both strong academics and a more manageable daily rhythm for families.
Legacy Foundations Academy offers a full academic, teacher-led program in a very small classroom setting, limited to seven students. Instruction is delivered during the school day across all core academic subjects, including reading, writing, math, science, and social studies, so students receive a complete and well-supported education without gaps or the need for reteaching at home.
The school was created in response to a growing need among families seeking a more consistent and manageable learning environment. Many parents are looking for an option that provides strong academics without the overwhelm often experienced in larger classrooms.
Legacy Foundations Academy emphasizes clear expectations, steady instruction, and strong communication with families. Students are supported both academically and emotionally, allowing them to build confidence, independence, and a positive relationship with learning.
Enrollment is currently open for the founding class, with limited seats available.
