The GVTC Foundation proudly celebrated the 12th Annual Thanksgiving Give Back Project,
delivering 518 Thanksgiving meals to families experiencing hardship across the GVTC service
area. Over a decade in the making, this initiative has become the Foundation’s most impactful
annual community outreach effort.

The Thanksgiving Give Back Project embodies a simple yet powerful mission: to provide
comfort and nourishment to families facing challenges, offering them the opportunity to enjoy a
traditional Thanksgiving meal. This initiative has grown steadily since 2012, thanks to the
generosity of local businesses, schools, organizations, and dedicated volunteers who work
tirelessly to make it a success.

Central to the project’s effectiveness is its collaboration with local food pantries. These pantries
identify families most in need, ensuring the meals reach those who will benefit most. This year,
with contributions from community partners, the Foundation provided frozen turkeys, traditional
sides, bread, and desserts. GVTC employees and their families took a hands-on role in packing and personally delivering the meals on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.

The project has supported 3,749 families since its inception.
