Winding Branch Ranch Celebrates Two Years of Rescue and Revival with Second Annual RanchFest Present

Bulverde, TX – June 10th, 2025 – Winding Branch Ranch, a nonprofit farm animal rescue and sanctuary in Bulverde, Texas is proud to celebrate its two-year anniversary with the Second Annual RanchFest, presented by Saur Water Well Service. This weeklong celebration brings together the community in support of farm animals who’ve found safety, healing, and second chances at the ranch.

 
Since opening in 2023, Winding Branch Ranch has rescued over 260 animals, rehomed 153, and welcomed more than 150,000 visitors to connect with the mission: to rescue, revive, and rehome farm animals while educating communities about ethical, humane and sustainable farming practices.
 
“When we opened our gates two years ago, we couldn’t have imagined how deeply this work would change lives—both animal and human,” said Executive Director Matthew Aversa. “Every animal who arrives here carries a story of hardship, and every visitor who walks through our gates becomes part of their healing. RanchFest is more than a celebration—it’s a thank-you to every person who has made this dream possible.”
 
Second Annual RanchFest Schedule:
  • June 18 – Vine in the Village (4:00 PM – Close)
Kick off the celebration at one of Bulverde’s favorite wine bars. A portion of the evening’s proceeds benefits the ranch.
 
  • June 19 – Bar Mon Ami (4:00 PM – Close)
Sip for a cause in Alamo Heights. Enjoy handcrafted cocktails while supporting farm animal rescue.
 
  • June 20 – Confetti & Cream (4:00 PM – Close)
Cool down with a sweet treat in San Antonio. A portion of all ice cream sales helps fund food and medical care for the animals.
 
  • June 21 – Volunteer Day @ Winding Branch Ranch (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
Lend a hand and experience sanctuary life firsthand. Help with chores, meet the animals, and make a difference. 
 
  • June 22 – Volunteer Day @ Winding Branch Ranch (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
Couldn’t make it Saturday? Come Sunday and be part of something meaningful.
 
  • June 22 – Spechts Texas Restaurant and Saloon (2:00 PM – Close)
Close out RanchFest in true Hill Country style with food, drinks, and community spirit. A portion of sales will benefit the ranch’s ongoing rescue efforts.
