Art Teacher Pre-K4/Kinder/1st grade (Part-Time)

Position Description: Our mission at Bracken Christian School is to partner with Christian families through the leadership and guidance of the Holy Spirit to provide an excellent education within the context of a biblical worldview, equipping students to impact their communities for Christ.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate art instruction for Pre-K4, Kinder and 1st grade students. You will develop and implement art lessons that encourage creativity, exploration, and foundational art skills while fostering a love of artistic expression. The ideal candidate will create a positive, organized, and nurturing classroom environment, make learning meaningful and enjoyable, and build strong relationships with students. You will be responsible for ensuring that deadlines are met in a timely manner. The art class schedule is as follows: Monday 12:00-2pm, Wednesday 9:30am-11am, and Thursday 8:30am-9:30am and 12:00-2pm; approximately 10 instructional/prep hours per week.
 

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

• Has a bachelor’s degree in art or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
• Holds (or be eligible to hold) an Early Childhood teaching certificate.
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience:

• Proven experience as an elementary teacher.
• Strong Christian faith and personal testimony.
• Prior Christian school experience.
