Position Description: Bracken Christian School partners with Christian families through the leadership and guidance of the Holy Spirit to provide an excellent education within the context of a biblical worldview, equipping students to impact their communities for Christ.
The Elementary Principal is expected to uphold the vision, mission and values of Bracken Christian School. The Elementary Principal will strive to provide the best possible opportunities for faculty/student growth and development, academically, spiritually and personally.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:

Minimum: Has a master’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Holds (or is eligible to hold) a certificate in teaching.
Experience:
-
Minimum: Three years of professional teaching experience.

Strong Christian faith and personal testimony.

Proven ability to embrace the responsibility for being a spiritual role model for students.

Skilled in managing, delegating and evaluating staff.

Thorough understanding of curriculum and educational program requirements.

Proficient in communicating complex ideas and concepts.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
-
In collaboration with the Head of School, implement goals for elementary according to strategic objectives established by the administration and the board, while following internal policies and educational best practices

Coach and train faculty to utilize various instructional best practices to meet student learning needs in conjunction with STREAM Director and Academic Dean

Direct the daily academic operations of the elementary through supervising the faculty and staff, coordinating activities and setting the tone to ensure quality education

Act as the ACSI teacher certification and CEU coordinator for the campus

Maintain high level of confidentiality, ethics and professionalism

Perform regular teacher observations and evaluations and in collaboration with the Academic Dean and STREAM Director

Facilitate and assist with the vertical alignment of campus curriculum and instruction in collaboration with all academic leaders

Conduct conferences with parents and teachers to resolve conflicts, discuss problems, share information and establish goals in conjunction with the Head of School
