Care Team Member
Are you energetic, compassionate, dependable, and ready to make a difference while having fun?
SarahCare at Encino Park is looking for a special person to join our growing Care Team!
Our participants enjoy laughing, singing, playing games, creating art, working on simple woodworking projects, listening to music, and spending time with people who genuinely care. We are looking for someone who can bring enthusiasm to the day while providing patient, respectful support to older adults who may be experiencing physical limitations, memory loss, dementia, or other cognitive changes.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist participants with personal care, mobility, meals, and other daily needs.
- Encourage participation in games, music, crafts, exercise, and social activities.
- Help lead fun and engaging activities—you do not have to be a professional entertainer!
- Support participants with patience, kindness, dignity, and respect.
- Provide supervision and redirection when needed.
- Assist with transfers, walking, toileting, and other physical needs.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment.
- Work closely with nurses, activity staff, and other Care Team members.
- Pitch in wherever needed to help make each day successful.
- Has experience working with seniors or older adults.
- Understands—or is willing to learn about—physical decline, memory loss, Alzheimer’s disease, and other forms of dementia.
- Enjoys laughing, singing, playing games, doing crafts, or helping with simple woodworking projects.
- Has a musical background or enjoys sharing music with others—this is a plus, but not required!
- Is positive, patient, dependable, and comfortable working as part of a team.
- Is willing and able to assist with personal care and physical transfers.
- Speaks Spanish—this is a plus, but not required.
- Is CPR certified—or is willing to become certified after hire.
- Can pass all required background checks and meet applicable employment requirements.
