STREAM Elementary Home Economics Teacher (2026-2027 school year)

Employment Status: Part Time (Selected Fridays, beginning August 2026)

Relates To: Administration, Faculty, Parents, Students
 

Position Description: Our mission at Bracken Christian School is to partner with Christian families through the leadership and guidance of the Holy Spirit to provide an excellent education within the context of a biblical worldview, equipping students to impact their communities for Christ. 

The STREAM Home Economics teacher is expected to prepare engaging age-appropriate lessons involving, but not limited to, cooking, baking, and/or planting where students gain self-confidence, develop life skills, and communication skills through hands-on activities.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification: 

• Minimum: Has a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

• Holds (or be eligible to hold) a secondary teaching certificate

Experience: 

• Minimum: Three years of professional teaching experience

• Strong Christian faith and personal testimony

• Prior Christian school experience

Skills:

• Highly organized

• Strong classroom management

• Knowledge of Google Workspace
